We are thinking that the event will be 2 days: 1 day of "unconference", with presentations/discussions decided on-site, and 1 day "hackathon" where people can work together in small groups to implement ideas discussed the previous day.  I will probably be available for an additional day or two after that for anyone who wants to stick around for additional collaborative work.
Assuming that we have the event in San Francisco (our current plan), I would recommend staying either in the city of SF itself, or near a [http://www.bart.gov/stations/index.aspx BART stop] (light rail train in the Bay Area).  The Delphix SF office is just 1 block from the Montgomery stop.

OpenZFS Day

I have floated the idea of attending the ZFS Open Day event to the company and they are generally responding favourably. Is the event a 2 day event, or just undecided which day? Is it worth sticking around for 2 days either way (first time to SF for me). Is the "bay area" a place where you would stay, or would one stay further out a bit and travel in?
