We are in the process of preparing this website for its public debut, which will happen on September 17th. In the mean time, please refrain from publicizing it. Welcome to OpenZFS

OpenZFS is open source storage software that encompasses the functionality of traditional filesystems, volume managers, and more.

The OpenZFS project is the truly open source successor to the ZFS project. Our community brings together developers – from the illumos, FreeBSD, Linux, and OS X platforms – and a wide range of companies and organizations.

Goals

OpenZFS will continue to be an outstanding storage platform with consistent reliability, functionality and performance across all distributions.
